We seem to be out of the subzero temperatures that were here for too many days. It’s a warm day with temps of 25 degrees. That’s not warm you say? Much better than 8 with a wind chill of 5 below. Some snow coming our way Monday night but then temps will climb before they drop again. That’s New England weather for you!
Sue’s mom passed away last night. Heaven has a very special angel. Rest in peace Jean.
Please include Sue Connary’s mom Jean in your thoughts and prayers. She is in New London hospital and one of her heart valves is failing. She has chosen not to have surgery and is at peace with her decision. She is a remarkable woman who has touched many lives and is loved by so many. To show love for Jean and support for the family we are putting small, battery operated, votive candles on her porch railing. Please feel free to bring your own candle. There will also be a book at the shop where you may write whatever your heart leads you to: memories of Jean, what she means to you, words of support for her family.
I’ve been absent from the blog for several months. Most days it is easier to post on facebook so if you are a facebooker you can find us under HodgePodge Yarns and Fibers
https://www.facebook.com/pages/HodgePodge-Yarns-and-Fibers/
We are having a January sale of our clearance yarns. Print this coupon and save some money!
One more show to go and that’s it for the year. We will be at the Fiber Festival of New England on the grounds of the Eastern States Exposition aka the “Big E”. The dates are November 3rd, Saturday and November 4th, Sunday. There are lots of vendors and the aisles are wide and make for easy strolling and browsing. Please stop by and say hi to us!!
We spent the weekend at Mirage Alpacas for the NH Wool Arts Tour. After a week of rain, the weather cooperated! Here are a few pictures:
