On this New Years Eve day, the snow if falling in southern New Hampshire and it’s like being inside a snow globe – very pretty! Weather service is calling for some snow each day thru next Tuesday. If you are traveling tonight to celebrate, designate a driver and be safe!
We at HodgePodge wish you and yours a happy, healthy and peaceful 2010. Times are still hard for so many of us. Take time each day to remember and be thankful for what you have and for those you love and care about.
Let’s also take the time to think about others who are not as blessed as ourselves – consider making a donation of your time, talent or treasure ($) to help others. Local food shelves and soup kitchens can always use volunteers or donations. Donating gently used clothes to a shelter or organization, that benefits those in need, is a great way of removing excess things from our lives and giving comfort to others. Drive for meals on wheels – many elderly are unable to get out and only see the smiling delivery person all day. They need a hug and a kind word. Join with our knitters and make helmet liners or chemo caps. There are so many ways to help others.
